Northern Kenya Sun, Sand and Sea Adventure Experience;
This is a 5-day/4 night customized sun, sand and sea adventure package meant to explore Marsabit , Samburu and Turkana counties tourism circuit. The journey takes you from the buzzing Nairobi city through the diverse lush greenery landscape of Central islands, via Karatina Nyeri and onwards to Nanyuki and the majestic rolling hills of Timau. Further onwards to Isiolo " home of Shaba springs ".
Further northwards to Marsabit, exploring Chalbi desert and Kalacha oasis. You will get to experience magical sunset views from the hills during the evening drive, visit Mt Ololokwe, Maikona Oasis, Kalacha Oasis, rock dunes, Chalbi desert, North Horr Sand dunes, North Horr Oasis, Lake Turkana, Elmollo Oasis, Desert Museum, Ndotto Ranges and Marsabit National Park (“a remote paradise for nature lovers”) ; home to huge tusked bull elephants and Ahmed; the most famous elephant who lived here till he died at the age of 63 years.
If you are out for some adventure you can visit the South Land National Park, home to the breeding ground for the Nile crocodile also known as the reptile island, enjoy local fishing culture or Mount Kulal hike with panoramic views of “Jade Sea” below. Evening sundowner on the Lake is a lively way to end the trip.

Day 2 Marsabit to Kalacha and onwards to North Horr
In the morning embark on crossing the Chalbi Desert driving by the rock dune at the heart of the desert. The journey leads you to a beautiful Gamura oasis in Maikona. The drive then takes you to Kalacha, a pleasant surprise in the middle of the very arid countryside, famous for its picturesque palm ringed shallow wells as herds of camels stream in for an evening drink. Later proceed to North Horr where the nearest Chalbi dune is located. Late in the afternoon drive back to Marsabit in time to catch the beautiful sunset, thereafter settle for dinner
Day 3 Kalacha -North Horr - Loiyangalani
After breakfast head out south to Loiyangalani a tourist town on the south eastern shores of Lake Turkana, the largest desert permanent Lake in the world. Arrive in time for lunch, and later visit the small Island Komote home to the famous El molo people who are 100% dependent on the Lake for survival. If you are out for some adventure you can visit the South Land National park home to the breeding ground for the Nile crocodile also known as the reptile island, enjoy local fishing culture or Mount Kulal hike with panoramic views of “Jade Sea” below. Day 4 Loiyangalani to Ngurunit
Spend the morning visiting the lake town and later depart to Ngurunit an oasis surrounded by Ndoto ranges popularly known for its bird life, wild life and breathtaking trekking opportunities. Pass by Lake Turkana Wind Farm project which offers a unique blend of natural beauty, renewable energy innovation, and a glimpse into the lives of the people who call this remote region home. It's a journey that takes you through a less-travelled part of Kenya and allows you to appreciate the rugged and enchanting landscapes of the northern frontier. Overnight and dinner at camp Ndoto with majestic views of the ranges and the singing birds.
Day 5 Ngurunit to Nairobi
In the morning visit the village and buy some souvenirs, before heading back to the city. Stopover in Nanyuki for lunch then proceed with the journey to Nairobi to arrive in the evening
